Stop Dog Theft by Fighting Rings

Donation protected
Our family dog Chocco, a 5 year old male Chesapeake was abducted from my property east of Cecil Lake, BC on the morning of Saturday February 21, 2015.  On the same day my friend's Pitbull was also taken from their yard.  The night prior at approximately 10:00 pm in the same vicinity, a middle-aged female (35-50 years) driving a white SUV was seen trying to coax another dog into her vehicle.  The dog was located on his own property working as a guardian to a flock of sheep.  When the woman was approached, she said she was trying to rescue the dog and take it to the SPCA, however she could not describe where the SPCA was even located.  The community member that approached the woman, contacted the dog's owner at which time she fled the scene.

This woman is not recognized or known to be a member of our Cecil Lake community.  Yet other people have also reported seeing this SUV driving slowly past their rural properties on multiple occassions.

I believe these abductions of our dogs are directly related to the uprising of dog-fighting rings in the NE region.  The local SPCAs, veterinary clinics and RCMP have all raised caution due to the high rate of recent abduction of dogs throughout the Peace region.  Illegal and immoral dog fighting rings are suspected to be operating out of the North Peace region and into central Alberta yet the RCMP have been unable to prosecute due to a lack of direct evidence.

I have started this campaign to raise awareness as to what is going on in our communities with the hope that enough money will be raised as a reward to bring forth people with viable information that the RCMP can use to prosecute.

My Chocco dog is gone and my kids, wife and I are devastated.  I don't even want to think about the horrors that he may be facing being forced to fight until his death.  Please help fund this campaign and stop this cruel, barbaric, heart-breaking "sport".  Let's put these scum-bags away!

Please, if you have information regarding those involved in these activities, bring them forward.  The money raised will be offered as reward for information leading to prosecution.  Any remaining money will be donated directly to the Fort St. John, SPCA.

Thank you for viewing and contributing to this campaign.
