Hey guys! So as many of you know, I was appointed a city queen for the miss division for #NAMNationals2016 for National American Miss. I've been working towards this since 2012, and will be competing in the all-american miss competition at nationals.
My sponsor fee is $795 and this needs to be completely in by the end of July. My banner is $150, and to get my name embroidered is another $40. Each optional contest is $150, and I plan on competing in the spokesmodel competition where I plan on talking about slut shaming and victim shaming and the top model competition. Additionally, my mom and I will have to pay for a roundtrip flight to California during thanksgiving week, hotel stay for the entire week, and we have additional costs, such as food.
I've been competing in National American Miss for 4 years now (this will be my 5th) and those of you who have known me for that long have been able to see a change in me. Since starting NAM, I've become much more confident in my abilities and in myself. I've learned interview skills, public speaking skills, and I've made some amazing friends.
Now, I'm asking for your help. Like I said, my sponsor fee is $795. I've qualified for nationals for the past two years, but have not yet been able to attend. This is my second to last year being able to apply for the miss title, and my second to last chance at nationals. We don't know the future. We don't know if I will even qualify next year. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me, and I'd really appreciate your help.
I have ad space available, if you are able to donate more money, and if not, I'm asking for as little as $10 to help support my pageant dreams. In addition to this page, I will also be accepting cash and check donations Additionally, I will hopefully be doing a lot of fundraising around town in the next few weeks and until the competition in November. My dad is willing to donate $10 for each $100 that I raise. All the money raised will go towards the competition, flight, or hotel.
