Help a Seminarian

Donation protected

A Brother in Christ needs your help.

Brother Seraphim Gabriel is a young seminarian who has been working hard on his seminary studies for the Priesthood with the autocephalous Holy Nicholean Catholic Church , a very small, but dynamic semi-monastic religious system. While the Nicholean Catholic Church generally does not accept candidates for priesthood outside of its local jurisdictions, it will on certain occasions make an exception for candidates that demonstrate an unusual calling from God.

Brother Seraphim currently lives in Uganda. He has finished his bachelor's degree in counseling and is now at a point in his seminary studies where he is ready to begin the final stages toward ordination to the Holy Transitional Diaconate.  Entering the Diaconate will also require Brother Seraphim to complete his training in exorcism ministry, which is the primary outreach of the Holy Nicholean Catholic Church. We are severely understaffed for this ministry and the need is great, as potential cases of demonic possession are being presented to us on a regular basis.

Your generous help will give Brother Seraphim Gabriel the means to complete his training in the United States. The Church requires that he be fully prepared in exorcism ministry prior to receiving ordination to the Priesthood. In this effort, we are all reminded of Hebrews 13:16, “Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God,”  and also in 2 Corinthians 9:7, “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Any donation to help our beloved Brother in need will not be forgotten. For any donation given to this worthy cause, a Mass will be said for any person or intention you wish. Thank you for your assistance in helping a future Priest in his time of need.

As of 5/9/2015, Brother Seraphim's needs have changed. He has been approved to become a Deacon of the Church. We have then raised the requested donation goal to help us meet this need.

As of 11/12/2015, we have needed to raise the donation goal again because the United States embassy rejected his request for a travel visa to complete his studies with us at our home offices.  The Holy Nicholean Catholic Church will then need to hire an immigration attorney to assist him further and we will also need to support his room and board while he trains in the United States.
