Dever McCormack Field Trip Fund

The Dever-McCormack Middle School (a.k.a. Team DMC) is located in the heart of Boston, and serves a population of amazing, energized young people who are constantly in search of new learning opportunities. Our teachers work hard to create meaningful learning experiences for students in our classrooms every day, but also to design field trips that enrich the lives of our students.

Our students come from an incredible diversity of backgrounds, but have not always had the opportunity to participate in the kinds of enrichment experiences that more affluent young people have ready access to. Our school seeks to provide increased access to such experiences, at a more affordable cost to students, by building a "field trip fund" that teachers can access for matching grants. This fund would be used to support a range of field trips, including skiing/snowtubing, camping, working on a farm, going to art museums, seeing plays, attending dance and theatre performances, and more.
