Lost home in fire, please help!

Donation protected
At 2AM on February 27th I awoke to a room full of smoke, I started to go back to sleep when my boyfriend woke me up and started running around trying to figure out the cause. He yelled for me to turn off the breakers to the kitchen and to get out and call the fire department. I grabbed a T-shirt, shorts and a pair of PJ pants for him and ran outside to call the FD while he tried to knock down the fire with a bucket and water. We were taken to the hospital after the fire department and ambulances arrived. We were later told that, while we thought there were no smoke detectors, there was one, after the fire inspector tested it he determined it did not work and hadn't for a while. Since we had just recently moved in we hadn't exactly thought to check. My boyfriend, Dan, had to be treated for smoke inhalation and had to be kept for observation so that they were sure his throat wouldn't burn, which doesn't allows happen right away, so we stayed there for a while. Our provincial government luckily has a program where they provide us with a place to stay for 72 hours and a voucher for some clothes, so even though we left the hospital in very little clothing we were able to buy a few items to wear and we have a place to stay for a few days while we figure out where we're going to live. We went back to our home and everything was either smoke damaged or fire damaged. We're raising money so we can afford to replace some items, find a new place and we'd also like to donate 20% of what we raise to the hospital that treated us, they were wonderful and they made sure we were both 100% OK before we left. Anything anyone can give to help us it will be greatly appreciated.
