New Zealand Trip

At the end of this semester, I will be traveling to New Zealand with one of my college classes for a 4-week study tour. We will be riding a bus around the north and south islands (taking a ferry between the two) and participating in a variety of activities related to topics we've been studying this semester. These include history, culture, Maori (indigenous) culture, film, and art, especially as they pertain to feminism and women's studies.

Most of the costs of this trip are covered by the school and by scholarships I've received, but each student will also need a sizable amount of pocket money. Costs covered by initial fees include: airfare, housing, transportation, two meals a day, and all study-related activities. These do NOT cover:
   - 1 meal a day
   - Laundry fees
   - WiFi fees
   - Any souvenirs, products, or clothing I buy in NZ
   - Any extra activities (during "down days")

Some of this is absolutely necessary (food, laundry) and some would simply add to the experience (activities, WiFi, souvenirs, etc). In particular, aside from the necessaries, I would love to go on a Lord of the Rings day tour, since I am a huge fan and this seems like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! I have no reason to believe I will have the resources to make this trip again.

Any support you can give would be greatly appreciated! No amount is too small. Without assistance, I will have a very difficult time funding, at the very least, my third meal every day.
