Trapper's New Paw, New Life

Donation protected
Meet Trapper.  You may have seen him on some local and national news lately.  Trapper is receiving a prosthetic paw made by OrthoPets -- an entirely new technology to the veterinary world.

Trapper was found earlier this year lying in the woods with his foot caught in a coyote trap. The trap completely punctured his foot and left an awful open wound.  You could see straight through his paw to the other side.  We have been working with local veterinarians and experts to try to rehabilitate his foot. Unfortunately it is just too infected and he is in a lot of pain.

Dr. Christine Hunt is having a prosthesis made for Trapper's foot to help distribute his weight evenly. Part of his foot has been amputated.  Trapper has been at the vet for over a week now during this transitional phase.

Trapper will have his own prosthetic device that he'll put on every day when he gets up from bed, wear it all day, and take it off at night just like humans do with their prosthetic device.  We are hopeful that this new technology will end Trapper's pain and get him back up on his feet.

Unfortunately, this was an extremely expensive surgery and prosthetic, as you can imagine.  We need your help covering Trapper's expenses.  We are a local, non-profit organization that relies solely on donations.  We are not affiliated with any national organizations and recieve no government funding.  Anything you can do will help immensely.  Even a small donation will be big in Trapper's heart.
