Hi folks, thanks so much for stopping by!  I'm Justin Lewis, founder of Naturebay.com .

About 12 years ago on a Christmas morning I lost my father to lung cancer, and in those dark moments, a spark was lit that is now a small flame.  You might not believe it, but even as upset as I was, I could feel there was a reason for it happening- some incomprehensible force of compassion was guiding me through it.

After years of struggling to understand it, the pieces finally came together. What began as my meager attempt to avoid harmful products and to seek out natural preventative foods, grew into a passion for educating others to help them avoid what my father had gone through.

Today, with the support of people like you, our team at naturebay.com is getting much closer to putting a powerful tool into the hands of the conscious consumer (naturebay 2.0). By increasing access to products and services that are good for our health, communities, and environment, we believe it's possible to empower some huge positive changes in our communities and culture.

We are reaching out to you for support because:

1.  We need funding to make this vision happen as fast as possible (more $ = more web developers + marketing ability + customer support capacity = faster growth = a win for everybody)

2. We aren't in it for the money, although for the past few years we have been putting in all our extra time and money into creating it. We are in it to help, because our communities, environment, and health are under attack from many sides, largely by huge corporations that are willing to do anything to get more money.

3.  A  corporation with the economic prowess of the average sized nation state, (ebay) filed a lawsuit to oppose our trademark. We can't say it comes as a huge suprise when big corp attacks projects that seek to truly empower local communities...

anyway...

Ebay says people will be confused by our names (yeah, we think their view of people's common sense is insulting too). Thanks to some relatively new trademark laws pushed by big corporate lobbyists, ebay has been quite sucessful stifling any innovation ending with "bay." Most of the time intimidation is all it takes for them to win, but do to lack of funding, nobody has ever managed to get a case pushed through to the supreme court. We think it's time for this to happen. With enough support we could challenge the trademark laws themselves, (which are very biased to big corporations), and prevent similar trademark bullying by big corporations from happening in the future.

4. We aren't giving up, regardless of what happens with the ebay trademark bullying situation.  Our goal is to promote the good, green, and local to help revive our neighborhoods and culture and we won't stop until we get there.

Thank you so much in advance for any support, prayers, shares on social media, donated time, or friendship. You can find us on fb by searching "naturebay.com" or on twitter by searching "naturebay"
