Nationz Foundation is a 501c3 non profit organization. Our mission is to provide education and information related to HIV prevention and education, Cancer awareness and overall health and wellness, while inspiring the community to make healthier lifestyle choices.
We are raising money to purchase a house that will house the foundations offices as well as be a safe space for memebers of the L.G.B.T.Q community and anyone in need. The house will also provide emergency housing for LGBTQ communitity memebers, HIV and STI testing, supprt services, food pantry, feeding days for the homeless, condom distribution and other supportive services to enrich the lives of our community memebers.
The funds will be used to purchase the property at the asking price of $143,000.00. The remaining $57,000.00 would go to repairs and furnishings to be able to provide needed services and emergency housing to members of the L.G.B.T.Q community.
We are looking to raise these funds by February of 2017!
This is extremely important to me because in our L.G.B.T.Q community when we are honest with our families about who we are, many are turned away and have no where to go. This rejection leaves memebers of the community homeless, hungry and alone. It is also the catalyst to these individuals engaging in risky behaviors that lead to drug addiction, crimes,commercial sex work or violence.
I want to change the future of these individuals by providing a safe haven that will instill necessary lifeskills to help those who are displaced and in need. There is no other safe space that can provide emergency housing needs and support services for the L.G.B.T.Q community including testing and linkage to medical care services under one roof!
