New truck for a broken back

Donation protected
My name is Bryan Bell. I've been living with a severe spine injury for over a year now with no signs of receiving surgery in the near future. I can still manage simple tasks, but most of them cause me intense pain to include walking my dog, playing with my son, and driving my standard single cab Toyota Tacoma.

Due to my injuries, I was forced into early retirement and I'm now living on a fixed income that makes buying a new vehicle a little difficult.

My wife and I have a plan to start a small homestead near a small town in north east Texas.  Despite my injuries, I can still contribute to our home but we need a good truck to haul livestock, seedlings, and other farming/gardening supplies to get it up and running. My wife is working hard at school in hopes to get a job to help support us so these road trip for supplies will be my responsibility.  Even though I'll be getting help with lifting the supplies, I still need a way to haul them home.  We'll also need a truck to take our surplus produce to the local farmers market or even charity organizations.  No matter how you look at it, a good working truck is going to be a part of our family.

I do have a truck but I'm not going to be able use this truck as we need to because of the pain it causes me to drive it.  I've loved the Tacoma every day that I've had it but having 3 herniated disks in my neck and 2 in my lower back makes it difficult to climb in and out of the Tacoma's smaller cab. Since the Tacoma is a smaller truck, it's great for off-roading, but that's also one of the problems. It's light weight lets it get knocked around a lot. The suspension isn't helping either. When I run over a small bump in the road, I feel lightning bolts of pain from the middle of my back to the tips of my toes. Another issue is the Tacoma is a single cab so that means if I have to take the truck anywhere my 2 year old son will have to stay with mom till dad gets back. Being a standard vehicle is probably the biggest problem I'm having now. To push in the clutch sends sharp pain up my back and releasing the clutch at the engagement point sends sharp pain down my left leg.

I've test driven several trucks to see what would be most comfortable for me to drive with my injury and only one stands out. The Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition. This incredible mechanical marvel is not only a good looking beast of a truck, but with it's fully adjustable seats with lumbar support and automatic adjustment for easy entry and exit, the driver's seat is the most comfortable I've ever been sitting since I was injured over a year ago. I haven't been able to sit on my own couch without multiple pillows placed around my waist. With this truck, I can climb in, sit, and with a press of a single button be perfectly comfortable. Have I sold you on the 1794 Edition yet? I can barely feel the road driving this Tundra. Toyota has outdone themselves with this vehicle. This Texas built truck was put together near San Antonio on the JLC Ranch which was founded in (can you guess?) 1794. My wife and I moved here from the south east and have fallen in love with the Great State of Texas and knowing that little tid-bit was just icing on this creme filled cake. No this is not a review from a journalist, this is an honest opinion from a common family man. What else is awesome? This truck comes in a Max Crew cab which means when Dad heads out, my boy can come with me.
