Time to Lighten Up: Help E!

If you know anything about me then you know I am typically down for a good time, a dance party, a study session, a workout, or a good heart to heart whenever one should present itself. You might know me from school, my music postings, sports, or just in passing. I've been many places and made a lot of friends (and, hopefully, made some positive impact everywhere I've been)., even with all of my social awkwardness. 



But, now I need  your help. Despite knowing for, let's just say, forever, I just recently came out and am still coming to terms with being trans*. And part of my journey has been trying to navigate parts of a body that aren't really mine. (Again, if you know me, you know my dream of being like a real-life Mr. Potato head). But transitioning in any kind of way is tough and expensive.



So....I am asking for your help. I need the funds to have top surgery so that I can feel completely at home in this body of mine. The operation that I have selected is very costly, even with insurance; and, as a full-time PhD student, funding this on my own isn't a choice available to me. I am choosing to embark on this journey now for several reasons, but the most important reason is for my mental well-being and so that I can be the best sibling, child, partner, and student that I can be, which means being completely comfortable in my own skin.
