We're Leen en Lies , 2 sisters from Belgium "blessed" with MS. At the end of september we're going to take the challenge with "Comopsair goes MS" to climb the Mont Ventoux together with 50 other MS patients and the crew of National Belgium MS-league. We're lucky that we have each other as sisters, but also because our health is ok at the moment.

We love to challenge ourselves and that's exactly what we'll do. Leen is a fierce fire woman and Lies finds the perfect balance between health and strength thanks to crossfit. We're both taking an extra piece of this with us during our climb.

Why do we do this, you ask? Because we are grateful. Grateful that we're both still able to enjoy our health on a daily basis. We would like to help other MS patients who are less fortunate. We take their and our luggage of the disease to the top and throw it off, to show that MS doesn't define who we are. 

The full proceeds go to the National Belgium MS-league.


We zijn Leen en Lies , 2 zussen die “gezegend” zijn door MS. Eind september gaan we samen met een 50-tal andere MS-patiënten en de crew van de Nationale Belgische MS-liga de uitdaging "Comopsair goes MS" aan om de Mont Ventoux te beklimmen. We mogen van geluk spreken dat we elkaar hebben, maar ook dat onze gezondheid voorlopig best nog ok is.

Hier maken we dan ook gretig gebruik van om te blijven doen wat we graag doen: uitdagingen opzoeken. Met Leen als fierce brandweervrouw en Lies als een fervent crossfitter besloten we om tijdens deze tocht extra bagage mee te nemen, en dat mag je heus letterlijk en figuurlijk interpreteren. Leen gaat de uitdaging aan full package, in de vorm van haar volledige brandweeroutfit. Lies haalt haar gewichtsvest boven, een hulpmiddel die je af en toe eens ziet verschijnen bij een “Murph” (crossfit lingo) om het wat gemakkelijker te maken.

Goed zot, weten we. Waarom doen we dit dan juist? Net omdat we zo dankbaar zijn dat we nog mogen genieten van een goede gezondheid willen we ons inzetten voor MS-patiënten die reeds in een later stadium van de ziekte zitten. We nemen hun en onze bagage van de ziekte mee naar boven om het op de top van ons af te werpen, om te tonen dat MS ons niet maakt wie we zijn. En hopelijk verzamelen we er ook wat centjes mee.

De volledige opbrengst gaat integraal naar de Nationale Belgische MS-liga
