Hey guys I'm raising money for the Christie’s cancer charity! This is for a very good cause and all donations are very appreciated x
The Christie charity supports the development of cancer prevention, treatment, research and education through investment in staff, equipment, facilities and other support services. They do this by making grants to The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, and, occasionally to other related bodies.
The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is the corporate trustee of the charity. Members of the Trust board and the charitable funds committee act as agents on behalf of the corporate trustee.
The charitable funds committee is responsible for the overall management of the charity, and is required, amongst other responsibilities, to:
Manage the investment of funds in accordance with the Trustees Act 2000.
Ensure that funding decisions are appropriate, consistent with our aims, and provide added value and benefit to patients and staff of the Trust, above those afforded by NHS funds.
