Mrs. Washington International?

InJanuary of 2014, I was told I had a mass in my brain, no referral, no direction, just a request to go to the hospital for "further tests".  I was lucky enough to find the Chris Elliott Fund within the first few weeks of my diagnosis and they were able to walk me through one of the darkest, most complicated fact-finding missions of my life.  Since then I've dedicated a large part of my free time to making sure that newly diagnosed patients know EXACTLY where to go and who to call for help. In partnering with the Chris Elliott Fund to End Brain Cancer, our hope is to shorten the gap between when someone is diagnosed and access to advanced care and clinical trials. We must make people aware of their options BEFORE they are lying on an operating table, terrified and feeling alone. 

As part of my quest to further the reach of the Chris Elliott Fund, I have chosen to run for Mrs. Washington International, a pageant system dedicated to married women for their committment to their husbands and family as positive role models as well their ability to go out in the world and  make a difference.
