School Loans

My name is Morgan Minor and I am currently a Music Performance Major at Northern Kentucky University. I am trying this site out as a way to hopefully get help with paying off my school loans! Getting a job in a professional orchestra is extremely difficult and music is a very competitive field. In the mean time, I teach percussion at high school and give a few private lessons here and there. Honestly though, the field of teaching music doesn't pay very well - no matter how succesful your students are. The real pay off in teaching children is watching them grow as musicians and individuals. I absolutely love teaching kids and I feel as though I am extrememly lucky to have the job I do. Unfortunately, between going to school and working as a full time percussion instructor at Anderson High School - I am left with VERY little time to do other jobs, which in turn leaves me with very little money for school loans and even just living in general. Food, gas, rent, and other living expenses are killing me just as much as school loans. I have put a link to my personal website below if you wish to check out more of what I do.
