My name is Courtney Sparks, daughter of Monique Sparks and sister of Eden Sparks.
After 7 long years of my mom's heath issues, my sister and I decided we wanted to do something to help. We decided to set up a Go Fund Me page to help with some of the medical costs involved with some of these rare findings.
After her recent MRI scan, doctors have found some new issues and concerns in her brain. The Posterior Fossa Meningioma (Brain Tumor) is stable, although it is growing. Specialists have explained that if it reaches a certain size, that surgery will be a strong option.
She will be seeing her Brain surgeon to discuss further treatment and will have to recieve another MRI in 6-12 weeks, if not sooner due to symptom increases. She will be seeing the neurologist tomorrow (10/14/14) to discuss new areas of concern. All of these appointments are adding up and as she is not feeling well (Loss of feeling in hands and feet, constant headache, vision and hearing problems, and nausea) her work is limited to what she feels like she can do on any given day.
First and foremost, we ask for prayer. But obviously all of these medical appointments and treatment expenses are increasing rapidly and we are reaching out as a family for funding help and assistance. We are unsure how much all of this is going to cost and it scares us but we understand that God is our provider. Even the smallest donation is a huge blessing to us.
As I am away at college it is very difficult for me to keep up with things and provide physical support. Even if you cannot donate with a monatary offer, I ask that you offer a prayer or a healthy homecooked meal for my sister and mother. She is weak most of the day and needs a lot of rest and quiet time, please respect what she is going through right now and just allow her to judge what she needs at these moments.
