The Brain Drain Project Presents..."Mohawk Madness!"
Together, we are raising money for people with hydrocephalus and their families.
Mohawk Madness is benefiting hydrocephalus organizations world wide! The money from my campaign, will be donated to the Hydrocephalus Association, a non profit organization in the US.
As a part of Mohawk Madness, if I reach my fundraising goal of $1000 , I will be cutting my hair into a mohawk, and dying it purple! ( As a nod to the Hydro Girl comic, also presented by Project Brain Drain.)
The goal is, that the hairstyle will start conversation about the condition - by both being radical, and showing off my shunt scar- all while raising money going towards research, treatment, and support.
Hydrocephalus is an incurable brain condition. In layman's terms, it's 'water on the brain'. Learn more about it on the Hydrocephalus Association's website.

I'll keep this page updated with 'thank yous', blogs, and even video blogs. As excited as I am to raise the money- I have to admit, it's a ton of mixed emotions. Happy to help a great cause, elated about starting more conversations about the topic - but terrified of the cut itself. :)
And, as a footnote, if anyone out there wants to join in, in either the cut or the coloring of your hair - message me. :)
