We are on the verge of being unable to help anymore animals because of such high vet bills and because of what happenens when people abuse our kindness and generousity animals do not deserve to suffer and it is time to stop it.
Heather Anderson has been the voice for many animals in and around Alberta. She has been fighting the Laws in Canada for many years now. She has a big heart and took a puppy in after someone surrendered her to us not only was the puppy too young at 4 weeks old to be taken from its mother during the night before the puppy was surrendered the puppy got injured. when the puppy came to heather it was in dire need for vet care which cost the Daisy foundation $2000 in vet bills. then after a week the person that surrendered the puppy made up a lie to police saying that we were only supposed to help fix the puppy and wanted the puppy back. Now heather would not give puppy back because not only was it too young but three vets said that the injuries were suspicious and we think the leg injury was not an accident. so because the person got someone to write a reciept saying she bought the dog for $1 and refused to sign our papers when dropping off puppy. Heather has been charged with theft for saving the puppy. We are asking for help with the legal fees because Heather would not send this puppy back to an abusive home and the dog requires many more surgeries on the leg and the woman who surrendered her barely had a roof over her head in her words. Heather has already put every penny she has into saving the puppy and our other ongoing vet bills for other rescued animals in our care.
