Help For Willow
Donation protected
This is Willow, who's 2.5years old, and she's my gorgeous stepdaughter's cheeky little sister. Unfortunately Willows mum and dad have learned that she has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. She's already had to endure a spinal tap and bone marrow test, and has been poked, prodded, jabbed and yet manages to smile in between it all.
She also has to have bi weekly lumbar punctures as she has cancer cells in her cerebral spinal fluid, and has to have several bone marrow tests throughout her treatment. She will also require multiple blood and plasma transfusions (she has already had 1 red blood and two plasma transfusions).
As an almost step-mum, there wasn't much I thought I could do until I learned the news and my second was "this is going to be a huge financial strain". Mum and dad are going to have to take a lot of time off work (a month first up), there's treatment, travel, and everything else that's needed in this situation and I didn't want them to have to worry about it. They have enough on their plate. So here I am, doing what I can to help.
It's understandable that not everyone is in a position to be able to donate money, times are tough all round. If you can, any amount you chose to donate is greatly appreciated. If you can't, could we ask you donate blood to the Red Cross Blood Bank as we now understand just how lifesaving they can be.
Thank you
