Help Fund Disney Tour Chaperones

For the past three years, my high school choir students and I have been planning a tour of Southern California that includes a performance and workshop in Disneyland. We are beyond excited for this special opportunity, and we are scheduled to leave on May 21.
My students come from varied and diverse backgrounds, but many of their families struggle to pay bills or to remain on a solid financial foundation. Having worked with these students now for several years, I can say with confidence that these hardworking families are really doing the best that they can to break the cycle of poverty. Due to their financial situations, many of my students have never even left the state of Oregon - nevermind visiting a place like Disneyland.
To many of them, this choir tour will mean so much. Not only will it be a time to make great music and bond with friends, it will be a time to practice being responsible and reliable, and make life-long memories. Our travels will open their eyes to a new world!
We have been working very hard for several years to fundraise for this trip, but because we live in a financially depressed area, we were not able to raise all of the money we need to go. We are still working on this, but I thought I would start a gofundme campaign to assist with one aspect of our trip: paying a portion of our chaperone costs.
Our total for our chaperones will be around $2400. I have decided to try to fundraise all of this so I don't have to ask the students to raise the price of their trips to help cover this cost. With this campaign, I am hoping to raise $1000 - around half of what we need.
My students deserve this great opportunity. Thank you for your consideration in helping us out.
