My name is Savanna and I am an artist. I have been drawing my whole life. It is not only a hobby, but a passion! For a long time, I had the dream that I either wanted to become a professional cartoonist or an art teacher when I grew up. Unfortunately, life doesn't always go as planned. I have been working full time in retail for about 4 years now but I dedicate as much of my spare time as I can to being creative. I have sketch books filled to the brim with ideas. I have half finished paintings everywhere. I have a large shelf full of my doodles and supplies! I mainly draw and color using mixed media. I excel when using pencil, colored pencil, pen and markers. I am not the greatest at watercolor and acrylic but I have been trying to teach myself and improve my skills. I have been watching a few tutorials on these two mediums and have been experimenting with them. I find them difficult, but that doesn't deter me. I will always try my best and I never give up!
With all of that said... I really want to learn how to create digital art. I have tried a few different stylus and art pad set ups, but it seems like most of them do not get the pressure right from the stylus to the pad. It feels completely different than the traditional paper and pencil which makes it difficult to learn how to use. I have found one type of tablet that most artist's recommend but it has always been a back burner dream to own one!
I have always wanted a Wacom Cintiq tablet. The Cintiq would be a dream come true! It would help me transition over from traditional art to digital art. I would be able to create high quality finished pieces to share with friends, family and on my Facebook page/blog. I would be able to open a small shop online where I could sell prints, original pieces and other various products with my art on them! I would be able to put together a much more professional and complete portfolio complete with both traditional and digital pieces! The Cintiq would open all kinds of new doors for my creativity! It would boost my skills and knowledge and would take my art to new levels!
I know that it is a lot to ask, especially from strangers, but you would be donating to a good cause. I cannot afford this type of investment in my art on my own, but if this is funded I will put it to good use. I will sketch everyday. I will practice coloring and using layers to add more depths to my pieces. I will learn how to create digital art!
