Mitch's fight for independence

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Mitchell Stark before you read a little bit more about me I just need you to know a couple of things. I am truly not doing this campaign to be greedy or to make my situation look like a sad one. This is the honest truth for families who live with the child with a disability. I need you to know that I'm not just doing this campaign for myself but I want to create change for all, the first step is to take my own situation into my own hands and not just be another person with a disability and this is exactly what I am trying to do. Please know that your support gives me drive and will result in me wanting to make change for others. Just remember that what you can donate big or small will help me achieve a huge goal!

here's a breakdown of what your donation will support}

A wheelchair accessible washroom.
The ability to use my whole house to the full potential.{ elevator}

ability to access backyard and hangout with friends like a normal teenager does.

Finally your donation will support someone who never gives up, who has Drive and determination  and does not let his disability stop him. Just remember all I want is what able-bodied people may take for granted.

Thank you so much for your support

Please read my following bio to learn  more about  my situation.

Mitchell is a 16 year old boy who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at birth. This has confined him to a wheel chair for life. In 2014, Mitchell was advised by his medical team to immediately go through surgery to correct his contracted legs. Allowing Mitchell to have extended legs will result in more mobility. This allows Mitch in assisting his caregivers in his day to day life (showering, living, transportation).

     With the surgery completed and looking ahead to a lifetime of physiotherapy, Mitch requires specialized equipment to reach his goal of living as independently as possible. A significant amount of this equipment is not funded by insurance or outside agencies. Mitch's family does not have the funds to buy the equipment he currently needs. As a 16 year old, Mitch is looking to be as independent as possible, just like every other teen.

Mitch would like to be able to answer the front door when he orders a pizza or a neighbour stops by. To do this, he needs an elevator and a power door opener.

Mitch just wants to be able to go to the bathroom with the assistance of just one personal support worker. Currently, the family bathroom is not accessible to Mitch's wheelchair.

Mitch has to undress in his room, roll naked in a bath chair with a towel over him to the bathroom and rely on the assistance of 1 or 2 people to transfer to the toilet.

Mitch would like go into the bathroom in his power wheelchair to undress in the bathroom like everyone else and then transfer into his bath chair to roll into the shower. To do this, the bathroom needs to be renovated to make room for Mitch's wheelchair and a roll-in shower.

Please donate and support Mitchell in showing him there are endless possibilities for those with disabilities.
