Hello,
We are Patrick Fields and Byron Anderson, the co-founders of Mission United. We are asking for your support to help us bring our app, Special Needs United, to completion. We are both very close to several special needs families and volunteer with Surfers for Autism. After spending time with these amazing families we have come up with an app idea that can be a tremendous resource for the special needs community.
Special Needs United will be a multi-use tool for families. This app will help users connect to support and resources in their community. Special Needs United will have five main features: Community, Events, Services, Calendar, & Forums.
The Community feature will connect families to local organizations, support groups, and other activities that cater to special needs.
The Events feature will let families know about events that are coming up in their area up to a selected radius.
Services will connect families to ABA nutritionist, physical therapist, and doctors in their area
The Calendar will allow the user to add events, meetings and appointments from the app into one calendar for easy planning
In the Forum, users can seek advice from other families or plan gatherings in their community
We will be designing and coding this app with the help of Zapporoo. For more info please see their website at https://zapporoo.com/
We are currently finished with the Alpha phase of design. We have four pages designed and we need your help to move on to the next phase, Omega. This is where we create our app programming blueprint, our badge, and design the rest of the pages before coding. We need your support to raise $3900 so we can continue to bring this to fruition. Any kind of support will be greatly appreciated. For every donation we receive we will give $1 dollar to either Surfers for Autism or Buddy Walk
