Hi there! My name is Kristina King, and I'm your Miss Central Square Apple Festival 2015, with a platform of FEED: Fighters Ending Eating Disorders, through which I educate young people on the dangers of eating disorders, increase media literacy and help people build lifelong healthy habits.
On September 27, 2014 - which happens to be my birthday - I was crowned Miss Central Square Apple Festival 2015 , and am now competing with Miss America Organization to be your Miss New York 2015!
Competing in pageants can be very expensive, and I want to make sure I'm able to put my best foot forward in Staten Island next June. I've put together this GoFundMe in order to help cover some of the costs of competing, including the $350 contestant fee for the week of Miss New York, the $600 in gas I anticipate to spend traveling to appearances and volunteer events in the next six months, the costs of an evening gown, talent costume and swimsuit for Miss New York, the $150 costs for autograph cards and the costs of developing and printing classroom materials for my FEED program.
Currently, I'm a senior Integrated Marketing Communications major at Ithaca College, where I am a leader on campus and in my community. I'll be graduating this December, and am anticipating graduating summa cum laude. I plan to move into New York City and pursue a career in public relations and branding for products and companies that make the world a healthier, safer place to live for everyone.
As your Miss Central Square Apple Festival 2015, I'm available for appearances, speeches and events regarding my platform and other community involvement; reach out to me anytime with any questions or invitations.
