My name is Marly. I am a Senior in the Entertainment and Arts Management Program at Drexel University, and I am raising money to put on The 2017 MisKast Cabaret. This will be an evening dedicated to musical theatre cabaret-style performances. In solos or duets, student performers will sing songs from roles and show in which they could never be cast in. This night will feature some musical theatre standards as well as some hidden gems.
This is my senior capstone project, and I will be taking on the responsibility of producer, director, and manager, to make this a great evening. Putting on a night like this isn't going to be easy just because I am a student. My department wants my project to be as close to the professional experience as possible, so that means no freebies. Just like a professional producer, I will have to pay for everything from the space rental itself, to the marketing and print materials, and everything in between.
With the generous donations from you, I can make this evening a success this year and for years to come.
The MisKast Cabaret will be held in The Black Box Theatre in the URBN Annex on April 9th at 7:30 pm
