Raising Awareness for MSA-Triathlon

As most of our family and friends know my mother (Marva McHenry) was diagnosis with MSA (Multiple System Atrophy http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/msa/msa.htm), and has been dealing with this illness for the last 4 years. While her condition continues to deteriorate, her spirits and attitude remain strong. I will be competing in a triathlon on September 7th and want to use this platform to raise more awareness for this disease and research towards finding a cure. I plan to use the proceeds in the following way: Donate $2,000 to the Multiple System Atrophy Coalition (https://www.facebook.com/MultipleSystemAtrophyCoalition); sponsor myself to compete (bike, gear, etc.,); donate remaining to my parents for medical expenses not covered by insurance.
