Melissa Jenkins Memorial Trust

Who we are:

Our names are Marie (Carpenter) Fyans and Kristin (Wyand) Franson; we went to high school with Melissa.  Melissa Jenkins was tragically taken from us far too soon in life and leaves behind a beautiful, bright, amazing 2-year-old son named Ty, a family who will grieve for her all of their days, and friends who will always miss her smile.

Why are we collecting money:

Knowing that Melissa had friends who loved her all over the country, we wanted an efficient and secure way for those of us that love her, but are no longer local, to be able to donate for the benefit of her son, Ty. To accomplish this, we have joined forces with the Melissa Jenkins Memorial Trust. The trust has been established by the St. Johnsbury Academy, where Melissa worked, and Maple Grove Farms, where her mother works.  This and the St. Johnsbury Academy (see information below) are the ONLY two online donation sites that link directly to this trust.

Where does the money go?

All donations, minus a 5% processing fee that the gofundme website charges, will go directly to the Melissa Jenkins Memorial Trust held at Passumpsic Savings Bank in St. Johnsbury, Vermont.  We hope that you will take a moment and make a donation to benefit Ty as he navigates the rest of his life in the care of family, but without his loving mother.
