Meet the McKenna Family

Meet the McKenna Family, a very special and unique family. They need our help!!

Jack, the father, has had a heart transplant and kidney transplant, and many surgeries since due to complications. Recently, Jack just had cervical spine surgery. Jack has not been able to work in 25 years, due to his health conditions.

19 years ago, Kathy and Jack had triplets; they were born 3 months pre-mature. Connor, Matt and Casey.

Connor, non-verbal, spastic, quadriplegic, suffers from seizures, asthma, and many infections. Connor has been in a wheelchair his whole life. Connor cannot eat by mouth and has a feeding tube.

Between Jack and Connor they are on 20 medications per month, each having a co-pay.

Matt, has CP and has physical and developmental delays and struggles with severe anxiety issues. Matt is able to use a walker for short distances although needs a wheelchair for longer outings. Matt would like to attend college; he has looked at several programs. Unfortunately, the programs that accommodate his needs do NOT accept FAFSA or have any merit scholarships. Matt is passionate about helping the homeless and finding employment for the disabled and homeless.

Casey, is healthy, helps her mom with "the boys" every day. She made many many sacrifices to help her family and has made every single one with joy, to be able to help her family.

Cathy, the (super)mom, she is the only one who is able to work. She works from home, along with catering on the side to help pay for necessities. Cathy is truly an incredible person, no matter what hardships they are facing or struggle they have each day Cathy is always positive and has a smile on her face. She has stated that Matt has shown interest in extending the catering to help employ the disabled in feeding the homeless.

Recently their 1997 wheelchair accessible van, which is the only mode of transportation for Connor, has a blown transmission and has been breaking down on a regular basis. They are in DIRE NEED of a new van.

Anything that you can do to help would be greatly appreciated and go towards an AMAZING family!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!
