The city of McPherson has been served by one newspaper for many years and as service and quality have declined, an outcry has arised for a better option.
I worked in the newspaper industry for a number of years before becoming the city's CVB director in 2009. I am starting a weekly, direct-mailed newspaper called the McPherson News and leaving my job at the CVB.
The News will be mailed to all 7,000+ households in the 67460 zip code. No subscription fee will be charged. In order to keep the News a free newspaper, I need not only advertisers but the community's support to make it successful. The News will be a true community newspaper -- locally owned by someone truly invested in McPherson. Please help make it success by giving what you can.
