Fill Our Panther Packs!

It's no secret that HUNGER is a big problem worldwide. But how often do we think about those who are hungry in our own community? Or in the house next door? Or in our child's classroom? Or in the church pew beside us?
The members of St. Andrew's UMC were challenged during a Lenten Bible Study this Easter to find ways to serve the Milton community and spread the love of Christ. When those 40 days ended it became undeniably evident that God had spoken in a big way - he'd charged THREE seperate small groups with the same mission -
FEED THE HUNGRY CHILDREN.
In the three months since, our small groups have coalesced into one and the Panther Packs Program has been born.
Our goal is to send a bag of healthy non-perishable food home EVERY WEEKEND with ANY CHILD who needs it during the school year in the hopes that they will not go hungry while away from school.
This is a daunting task - based off of our data from the 2014-2015 school year, it will take almost $1000 EVERY SINGLE MONTH.
We are relying on the kindess of our community to help in these efforts - not just to stock our pantry and feed the kids, but to care about those in need.
I've set our monetary goal at only a month's worth of food supplies - but if it goes beyond that because God has moved hearts to pour out in love, then Hallelujah!
Even if you can only spare $1, our program and the children it will benefit appreciate your willingness to give.
