Mahajanga Calling

I am cycling more than 100km over three days to raise money to support Bishop Hall Speers in Mahajanga, Madagascar. Bishop Speers is from Urney Parish originally and also happens to be my brother-in-law.

These funds will enable Bishop Speers to purchase a rice paddy for each of his eight or nine clergy to enable them to get some income. Rice in Madagascar is similar to potatoes in Ireland. It would also enable him to recruit, house, train and maintain his clergy.
