Please Help our Kids get to the World Finals

Odyssey of the Mind Team 2 from Magnolia Intermediate School has qualified for the World Championships at Michigan State University in May. Carlie, Olivia, Andrew, Brock, James & Logan have spent hundreds of hours after school, on weekends and during school vacations working together to create their solution to this years problem and also practicing for the spontaneous problem. These students had to meet complicated and detailed requirements, write scripts, and  create their own props and costumes - all without parent or outside assistance as they could only rely on each other to come up with creative solutions.  This team competed at Regional's in Sacramento, and even when their robot didn't perform as planned their creativity carried them through to win 2nd Place and qualified them for the State Championships. They worked very hard and improved their performance and took 1st place at State's in both their performance & spontaneous problem, which has now qualified them to compete at the World Championships. There they will compete with 800+ teams from 26 countries.

This is where you can help.  We are looking for anyone who would like to help these kids! Relatives,  friends, businesses or anyone just willing to help out hardworking kids. It will cost each student $1500 + to attend this competition just for the basics. We as families are planning many different fundraising activities to help offset these costs. This is just one of many and we hope you are able to participate. So please watch social media and the school website to see what other fundraising projects this team and parents will be doing.
