A Moms CRY to help son NICK!

8 year old Nicolas suffers greatly  from Selective Mutism, a debilitating anxiety disorder that prevents him from speaking all day at school for 7 hours . He won't talk to anyone at all at school,does not get to ask questions,he does NOT eat,drink or use the toilet. He struggles with being mute all day while in school and has melt downs after school because of it. There is no school that we have found, that  can assist him with his needs. Most schools are unaware ,unable or  unwilling to provide the intensive help he needs. Because he has been suffering with Selctive Mutism for 4 years of his life now ,we feel he needs serious intervention  with a team of specialist NOW!! The best specialty program is in NYC, called Brave buddies, it is a week  intensive program  that has been very successful in helping others with Selective Mutism to really find their voice again. It is the ONLY successful program that we have heard of, with amazing outcomes.We have tried other intervention,but none so far have helped him. I believe if he enters this program ,he will find his voice again ,truly. The deterent has been the cost. It cost $2500 for the week intensve $2000 for the evaluation ++ ongoing therapy with the specialist. Which is a total of at least $5000+ . unfortunetely. These  specialists do NOT  accept health insurance, it is out of pocket for us.*** Any extra funds raised will be used toward a possible private school fund for him for the future. We do not have the funds available and are in need to get him this help NOW! Everyday day that goes by without this help is a lost opportunity for him to pull out of it for good. The good news is that there is real help out there for him we just need to have the funds to get started. Thank you for listening to our story.
