Fighting a rare cancer Angiosarcoma

Together in faith, our family fights a rare liver cancer of Angiosarcoma. In the beginning of the year, Alex was experiencing stomach pain and discomfort thinking it was indigestion from all the holiday foods. The pain began to feel unbearable and went to have it checked. A laporascopic liver biopsy procedure was done on January 8, 2015. During the procedure, Alex bled excessively & was admitted to Pali Momi Medical Center.
A couple days later on January 10, 2015, Alex was diagnosed with Angiosarcoma in the liver.  After about two weeks, Alex recovered well and was released from Pali Momi on January 18, 2015. Under the care of a different phycisian, chemotherapy was administered at Pali Momi on January 30, 2015.
On February 4, 2015, Alex was experiencing shortness of breath, so we consulted with Alex's Internal Medicine physician Dr. Ridao. He referred us to Queens ER, and fortunately, we followed his advice. Once admitted, our current Oncologist Dr. Clayton Chong advised us regarding the chemotherapy that was given at Pali Momi. Dr. Chong indicated that the prescribed chemotherapy would have damaging effects to Alex and his liver. Dr. Chong held Alex’s shoulder and said "I'm happy you came in when you did." Alex received blood transfusion and has been admitted here since.  With Dr. Chong's help, we started a different chemotherapy that doesn't have damaging effects to Alex's liver. We are fighting even after the hospitalist team referred us to hospice. Dr. Chong said he will fight as long as Alex wants to fight. Alex is a fighter, and so we fight with our Faith in God! We fight together in full support from family, friends, and the wonderful staff at Queen's Medical Center Oncology floor.

We deeply appreciate all of your prayers and heartfelt donations in this fight of faith. Thank you for your time and consideration.
God Bless you!

Things About AJ:
Alex Valenton Maximo Jr.  (AJ) is the oldest son of Joan Valenton & Alex Maximo. He is the oldest of four adult children. Alex is quiet but funny, a generous uncle and loving cousin. He has a mass collection of PS4 games but number one online game is Destiny. With all 3 types of characters at level 30 he misses playing the game. We play as a family and he helped me with my first mission, which was black garden.  His room is filled with game memorabilia and every DS and PS Vita game he can get his hands on.
