Garrard ATC State Competition Trip

The Garrard County Area Technology Center serves students from Boyle, Danville, Garrard and Lincoln county Schools. The students have the opportunity to complete training programs in Automotive Technology, Carpentry, Engineering Technology, Health Science and Welding Technology. We are training the workforce for tomorrow. While at the center students have the chance to join the SkillsUSA club and complete professional development training as well as a chance to compete in leadership and technical competitions annually.



This year we are looking at sending 20 students to state level competition and need financial assistance to make this possible.  The club has fundraised but a main source of our income has been lost this year when new laws removed the vending machines from our building. We are trying to raise $3000 to help offset this to cover contest registration, travel and accommodations for the 4 day state SkillsUSA convention.
