Anchorage Curling Club Ice Repair

The Anchorage Curling Club was set to have its best season ever. Then disaster struck October 6, 2014 - our first week of curling. The piping that we run our coolant through in order to make ice failed, and we had to shut down the club. See the following article from the Anchorage Dispatch News Article on Ice System Failure.
We have decided to go with a repair option using a new technology called Nu-Flow - which coats all the pipes with epoxy sealing the leaks. The epoxy repair plus new header plus new glycol and other materials/labor will cost $70,000.
We've raised $30,000 in two weeks which is amazing! That was enough to start Phase 1 of the repair: the NuFlow pipe coating. Now we need $37,000 more to fund Phase 2: install a new header and buy new glycol.
IF WE CAN RAISE THE $37,000 IN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS - THE ANCHORAGE CURLING CLUB COULD HAVE ICE THIS SPRING!
Even if we can't make our deadline - we still need to raise $70,000 before this summer if we want ice for next season.

The club serves about 140 active members as well as providing Learn to Curl activities to over 800 participants during the 2013-2014 season (including the Girls Scouts, Wounded Warriors, Habitat for Humanity, members of our armed forces, and university students).
The closure hit a number of junior curlers getting ready for National competition hard. No where to practice. (See interview with Naimy Schommer about losing a critical year of preparing for Junior Nationals in 2015).
The club has been working hard to set up a non-profit 501c3 to collect tax deductible donations, but the paperwork etc. is taking a long time. We are asking for your help now. Help us bring curling back to Anchorage.
