Fixing My Car

Donation protected

That's my car right there.  The one in front (not the Porche, yeah right).

I'm disabled.  I broke my back, which lead to a severe depression.  So much so I was hospitalized.  I am finally getting my life back on track.  I'm trying so hard to get off disability, but, of course, that requires a job.  I bought a car so I could get one.

Not knowing what I was doing, I bought a lemon.  The engine needed to be replaced, which I am still paying off, but not quickly enough for the guy who's fixing it.  On top of that, the headlights and tailights stopped working.  The front and back windows don't work either.  You have to pull up the front window, the back window doesn't work at all.  Winter's coming.  I would just like for it to go up so the snow doesn't get in.  Right now it's a duck-taped box blocking it.

I didn't say blocking it well.

See how the front window is off track?  The whole motor needs to be replaced, after several failed attempts to realign it.

So, I'm paying off the new engine, and all these other issues are happening.  If I lose my car, I lose my job.  There are no bus stations near me.  I'm glad disability was there when I needed it, but I don't want to live off the government.  One, it's not enough money to live, I don't even make $1,000 a month.  This has to include rent, bills, utilities, food ($16/month is what the state gives me for food, though well below the poverty level).  I make only $750/month, abouts.  The part time job is helping, until I can get reliable transportation to get a full time job.

I'm not one for begging, but it costs a lot to take a taxi to and from work.  And it's money that's cutting in to pay off the old repairs, as well fix the necessary new repairs.  I can't request day only hours at my job.  It's retail, and while they try, they can't, always.  That's $14 each way, any day I work after the sun goes down.  I try to get rides when I can.  Not always possible.

PLEASE, PLEASE, I beg for your help.  I've done everything I can think of, but in the end, it just seems never enough.  Any amount will help, really.

I promise all this will go to a good cause.  I want to be a productive member of society, I don't want to be on disability for the rest of my life.  If I lose the job, I lose a lot of ground I stand on now.  I worked hard rebuilding my life from scratch.  I don't want to go downward again.

Thank you so much for your time reading this, and your support.  I appreciate anything that you can do to help me.
