My name is Chasitey Smith. Yesterday afternoon I took my son to the hospital because he decided to jump out of his swing. I alerted my husband and he met me up at the hospital from work. While he was waiting for us to arrive he saw a young marine with no shoes on running into the ER with a limp little girl in his arms. The doctors took the little girl to the back and the mother sat in the waiting room. I finally arrived at the hospital and my husband told me what he had just saw. I walked over and sat beside this young mother as she cried over her phone informing her family about her daughters condition. I asked her if everything was okay she informed me that her 10 month old daughter had been in and out of the hospital the past couple of weeks for pneumonia and had just stopped breathing that afternoon in her husband's arms. They rushed to the ER with the baby. She said the doctors had tubes down her throat and everything in the back trying to help her. I assured her everything was going to be fine and that God has his hands over them. The nurse call my son's name so my husband and I walked to the back I turned around and wished them well and then walked to the back. About 10 minutes later I heard the worst sound a mother could ever make. Michaela and Dustins little girl, Lilah, had died. My husband and I had never witnessed something so heart wrenching.. I immediately kicked myself for not getting her name. I posted all over the resale pages hoping to find her, last night a female finally messaged me and gave me her name. So I sent her a message asking if there was anything I could do for her and all that she asked for was prayers. I for one know first hand how hard it is being in the Military and having to travel especially with animals and now having to move her daughters body back to their home town in Texas. I ask that you reach deep into your heart and give this little family what they truly need at this time. Even if it is just a prayer. I set the amount so high just because I am really not familiar with certain costs. Please help in any way you can!!
