LGBTQ Youth Prom Fund

In November 2014, a small group of youth-focused, nonprofit organizations and coalitions in Baltimore met to discuss possibilities for an event that would provide a safe, affirming, positive and magical place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or queer (LGBTQ) young people. After some discussion, it was decided to pursue hosting a prom event. The planning committee immediately got to work, and produced Baltimore's first LGBTQ Youth Prom in May 2015. Dubbed "A Night Under the Stars", this event provided a safe space for LGBTQ youth to enjoy their special night while being validated and honored. Over 120 young people attended the event, with schools represented across Maryland, DC and Virginia. Last year we were able to raise 100% of the funds needed to produce the prom event from YOU, the community! This year, the team is back again to create another special night. Will you help to build again this incredible and special night for LGBTQ youth across Maryland?

This year's theme is NIGHT CIRCUS, and we are planning for this year's prom to be bigger and better than last year's.
