Honor the Life of Lansing Fireman

Donation protected
Help the family of Dennis Rodeman

On the afternoon of September 9, 2015, Dennis Rodeman, a seven year veteran of the Lansing City Fire Department and United States Marine vet, was struck and killed by a motorist who witnesses say deliberately hit the firefighter.

Dennis was one of many area firefighters out collecting donations for the popular "Fill the Boot" campaign which raises money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  Here's a link to the whole story -  Lansing State Journal - Firefighter Hit and Run

I just thought it would be a nice gesture to collect donations, just as Dennis was selflessly doing when the incident occured, to honor his life of service. And while I never knew Dennis, I grew up the son of a firefighter and spent much of my youth at the local fire hall. I remember hanging out with my dad while he participated in the Fill the Boot campaign back home. Tragedies like this hit close to home and I want to give back any way I can.

Please consider even a small donation. Every little bit helps and all donations collected will go to his family. I am currently in contact with both Lansing Police and Lansing Fire regarding where specifically to send the money. Once I get the proper information, all proceeds will go to the same account as set up by the Lansing Fire Department's GoFundMe page, which you can link to here:
