Welcome to the fundraising page for Matthew and Lexie!
As a team, Matthew Brooks and Lexie Criscola are competing against ten other groups in a pageant that raises money for Doernbechers Children's Hospital. It's a contest through Sherwood High School called Mr. Bowmen where each boy contestant will compete in a pageant consisting of two dances, a talent portion, a video explaining why they want to be Mr. Bowmen, a costume portion, formal wear, and Q&A's.
Doernbecher is a hospital located in Portland. It was founded in 1996 when OHSU was too crowded for all the patients. They created this hospital towards the kids in order to make them feel more at home when they visit. Sherwood puts on this fundraiser for Doernbecher to create community involvement and to give to a local charity called Kids Making Miracles which is the foundation for Doernbecher.
Matthew and Lexie are trying to reach their goal of raising $1000 as a team and the committee goal of $30,000. They will be hosting a Journey Benefit Concert at the high school on March 6th at 8:15 pm. Come join us for some great music and help support team Brooks. The committee is also hosting numerous events and we hope you all can make it! Any amount helps and we appreciate the support!
