Through opera, Marble City Opera is dedicated to bringing fresh perspectives and a keen social awareness to its productions.
By having an all-female cast, "La Femme Bohème" provides a unique opportunity to explore the ways in which women and relationships are viewed in society. Music has the power to transcend boundaries of all kinds, and this production will go straight to the heart of human relationships. Even in 2014, the struggle for equality continues. Through the timeless music of Puccini, we will strive to dissolve barriers that keep us from experiencing love and friendships for what they truly are.

The Budget
As operas go, $25,000 is a very modest budget. About half of the budget will go toward artists' fees, including the singers, stage director, conductor, pianist/coach, and video designer. In addition, we have these expenses:
