Burial Expenses for Callie Morris

Donation protected

Callie Morris attended the RN program at Henderson State University. She attended clinicals in Hot Springs on January 29th, then headed to her parents in McAlester, OK at about 4:30pm and never made it. She was driving a 2004 Tan Ford Explorer with Oklahoma license plate 908HGT. Her mo m said she talked to her as she was about to leave Hot Springs at 4:30 and she had stopped at Chicken Express to eat and was headed home. She should have been home by about 8pm.

Callie's car and body were found February 1st after days of search efforts. The investigation is still underway and no specific details have been released but it is believed Callie was involved in a single-vehicle accident, and her body was found still buckled in, but she was not alive.

As a nursing student, Callie spent her last day on this earth helping others, with no pay but the reward of making a difference in the life of others. As a nurse, who is saddened we will never have the opportunity to welcome her into our field, I'd like to challenge all nurses to donate to help Callie's family lay her to rest and give her the life celebration she deserves.

Most importantly, though, please pray for comfort and peace for her family, friends, fellow nursing student friends and instructors, and the patient's that Callie may have cared for that last day. I have no doubt they remembered her and will recognize her photograph and name.

Thank you.
