Every life has meaning. Every life holds wisdom. Help me continue to persue my vision to capture the life histories of older adults in our society. It's a big yet simple goal and it brings joy to my life.
Some people like to archieve and preserve art or literature for the next generations. I preserve and archive life; its lessons and its wisdom.
I've worked over 21 years with older adults. When others wouldn't or couldn't listen to their stories, I did. Many of these stories have included the seemingly mundane to the life altering experience. All have fascinated me. I have learned that what may seem insignificant to one person can hold a great deal of wisdom to another. I am fascinated by how we adapt, survive, and continue to grow right up until our last days on this planet. How can we use this life wisdom to share and help others around us? No life is insignificant! This is the information I think and write about as a result of my interviews, so far. But I've only just begun. I have a long journey.
I'm asking all of you to help by donating. This seed money will go towards traveling to interview subjects that can't or are unable to use Skype. Funds will go towards such things as production costs and speaking to groups to solicit subjects. It will help to cover expenses to investigate and persue becoming a non-profit organization.
I may not be an established foundation like Project Happiness or The Greatest Generations Foundation, yet. However, they both started as someone's big yet simple vision.
