Mother's Right's Matter

I am trying to raise enough money to hire an attorney, to get my daughter, she is 2 years old, her name is Holly. Her father has refused to give her back and is in contempt of court.  The state has provided him with an attorney, as he could go to jail, if he loses. The case keeps getting continued, I haven't seen her for almost 3 months. The state won't provide me with an attorney and I am expected to go into court against his state appointed attorney without  one and to go by court regulations. I do not know anything about the law.
