Kim Barents is a single mom, sister and teacher.

On January 18th, Kim Barents went to the ER with abdominal pain. Within two days she had a diagnosis of Hairy Cell Leukemia. Her sister Tiffany is diligently sitting by her side and walking this road with her.

Kim is currently at UNMC receiving chemotherapy for 7 days. While there is no cure for this type of Leukemia, there are many types of treatment options. The first goal is to get her spleen to return to it's normal size.

Kim is going to need help with expenses to get her through this time. There are obvious expenses like food and gas for her son and family who will be taking care of her. There will also be a lot of medical bills and time off of work that she will not be paid for. If you feel led to help this family financially please pray about it and do what you can.
