My Nursing Trip to South Korea

Hello everyone! My name is Krystle Larioza. I am currently a nursing student at the University of San Francisco, in the Entry-Level Master’s degree/Clinical Nurse Leader program. At the end of this year, I will be taking my nursing boards (NCLEX) and am on track to graduate next May after completing my master’s project/R.N. internship during spring semester. It has been such a long journey to come to this point in my education, but I am so excited that I have found a perfect career that suits me well. I feel so passionately about nursing because it allows me to give back to others and love that through this career, I am able to challenge myself intellectually on a daily basis, continuously learn new things, and most importantly, provide healing and compassion to those who need it most. =)

That being said, in January, I will be participating in a trip with my nursing classmates to Chung-Ang University in South Korea (Seoul campus). The program includes visiting the Asan Medical Center (hospital and clinic complex, 1 of the top 2 medical centers in South Korea), the Naturopathic clinic, outpatient clinics (i.e., the diabetic clinic), and a trip to a clinic in a rural area. What I hope to gain from this experience is an enhanced understanding of nursing and healthcare, along with the chance to study abroad for the first time! I am so thankful for all of the learning opportunities that have been available to me thus far in my nursing program at USF and have been working very, very hard, to try to take as much new knowledge in that I can, day by day. I believe this trip will give me another chance to learn and grow even more as a future clinician!

I hope to raise $3,600 by my 27th birthday, September 29, to help cover the cost of the trip (airline ticket, lodging, food, transportation, events, etc.). I really look forward to going to South Korea and I would greatly appreciate ANY help you can provide—both financially and through prayers—to help me reach my goal.
