Help buy a wheelchair van for Debbie

Hello Friends!
I am reaching out to all of you to ask for some help with covering the cost of a wheelchair accessible van for my wonderful mom, Debbie Park. Some of you know Debbie but many not, so here is brief description of her story.
Debbie was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1995. Since her diagnosis, she has slowly lost the use of the left side of her body. In the beginning, Debbie was able to walk with the use of a cane but further progression of her MS has made her now totally dependent on a wheelchair. In recent years, Debbie has had to move out of her home in Lark Harbor Newfoundland and into a small wheelchair accessible apartment in Corner Brook where she currently lives with her cat Tiger. Due to a lack of public transportation and the inaccessibility of the streets in Corner Brook, Debbie is unable to leave the confines of her apartment building. Her days now consist of being lifted from her bed to her wheelchair where she spends most of the day browsing the Internet and watching TV.
Despite the unfortunate card that life has dealt her, my mother still shows the same kindness and compassion that she always has. She is an avid Facebook farmer and has never missed an episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show. She loves visits from her friends, children, and grandchildren. However, Being confined to her apartment with no transportation has a very negative impact on her quality of life and has caused her to loose the ability to do things she once loved.
As many of you may know, the cost of a new wheelchair accessible van can be anywhere north of $50,000. My fundraising goal of $15,000 will help cover the cost of a good quality used van that will allow mom to once again do some of the things that we take for granted.
