Support KITTY RIOT tnr and rescue

KITTY RIOT's recent rescue... meet Bathsheba. (not sure if male or female but I'm going with female for now)

This wonderful, traumatized cat is from the hellish Ridgewood hoarding/demo rescue in Ridgewood on July 30th.

From the scene... https://instagram.com/p/BXL8fbKlGgC/

She had found shelter within the walls of a demolished bathtub. She was the first cat I spotted off in a room by herself and was fairly easy to trap. Saying these cats are friendly is a real stretch! They've been in a hoarding situ not necessarily a loving home. Most are freaked out as hell- probably from the demo and being hunted.

She has a face and head wound. A couple other cats have similar wounds most likely from the demo activity or debris. Could also be trap trauma. @bradford_tnr @ggregorssamsa @paulthecatguy and A Tail of Two Kitties showed up and got to work, too! SUPPORT THEM! This is not an easy TNR/rescue effort. These cats have probably never been outside so they can not be simply TNR'd or returned to the hell hole where they were being hoarded and then hunted. Fingers crossed they'll decompress and show some faith in humans again so we can get them medical care and into good homes.

This ongoing effort is to raise money for TNR projects and continued expenes that are incurred unitl the kittens and cats in KITTY RIOT care find their forever homes.

Your support helps cover costs like full wellness exams on cats with health issues, spay/neuter, FeLV/FIV testing, vaccines and ongoing expenses until evryone is adopted (food, litter, weewee pads, toys, feliway calming treatment, future TNR/rescue efforts, etc). Kittens and cats can be in our care for many months until homes are found for them and TNR can have some unexpected costs.

Saving animal kids takes a team effort and just sharing this and our stories may even help find cats their forever homes and gather donations! Every bit helps and your contributions are greatly appreaciated.

Thank you!!!
Jacqueline

Other KITTY RIOT projects from the archives...

The Cats of Dormih. A KITTY RIOT TNR project in progress!

We are bettering the lives of abandoned cats in Ridgewood. There are currently up to 10 cats roaming the block. Donations help contribute to other rescue groups that help out with traps and transportation, ongoing feeding supplies, weather proof feeding stations and winter shelters.

Meet beautiful Diamond and Dale, two of The Cats of Dormih that have been TNR'd .

KITTY RIOT is currently taking care of Swoon and Tupac, two young kittens given away to a pedestrian in a cardboard box and Bernice, a former factory cat that was tossed to the streets because she was pregnant. We will be fostering these cats until they find their forever homes (spayed/neutered, virus tested and vaccinated).

KITTY RIOT is also heading a community TNR project in Ridgewood, NY. There are currently up to a dozen cats on a single block and TNR is underway to get all the cats spayed/neutered, vaccinated and set up with winter shelters and feeding stations before winter.

Other members of KITTY RIOT's history...
Meet Laura and Ben. They were abandoned on the streets of Bushwick in Brooklyn (most likely dumped due to minor birth deformities) and the wonderful person that found them provided foster care! We needed help covering theri initial medical costs for wellness exams/x-rays and the standard spay/neuter, virus tests, vaccines, etc.

UPDATE: They were adopted by their amazing foster mom who jsut couldn't let them go!

KITTY RIOT took care of Basket and her five kittens. This family was discovered in a locked, unused stairwell in a Brooklyn loft building. The factory that had been harboring Basket locked her out with no food or water and discarded her litter upon their birth. Their story is here...

Basket and her kittens were all adopted (it took 9 months!) with great thanks to supporters.

Basket blossomed into a wonderful cat! She was spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and microchipped. After a really rough start as a starved and discarded factory cat, she is moving forward in the best ways possible towards a better lovinf, playful life.

The kittens were all spayed/neutered, completely vaccinated, tested FeLV/FIV negative, microchipped, dewormed and reveived flea prevention.

Basket, mother of five, now safe, loving and ready for her forever home.

The Magic Five, 10 weeks old here and ready for homes!!!
