Hello. My name is Sue Waber and I am the owner of Body Temple Healing Arts, a small healing center in Webster Groves, Missouri. I have been blessed to have succeeded in creating a space that people gravitate to and wish to stay for more than just an appointment. It has been a dream to one day have a retreat setting where people could spend more time in an optimal healing environment. The Universe in its divine order has led me to what I believe is the perfect place to carry out that dream and take Body Temple to that next level.
This property is not only extremely unique, but it has a special draw for me that I believe is both divine and sacred in nature. I actually unknowingly had a postcard a number of years earlier that had significance to me of this same place though I had never been there nor did I actually have any knowledge of just where this place in the postcard was when I received it. The postcard was found during a garage sale several months after I found the property. Even if you believe in coincidence this was a bit over the top.
This is an amazing turnkey opportunity with ample room to bring my skills and the gifts of others into an already beautiful and energetically balanced healing space. We have unfortunately become a society based on disconnect and individualism and I feel it is vitally important to our well-being to reconnect to the "nature" of our being which is our awareness of our connection to ALL things. My mission is to provide an environment conducive to well-being and healing while providing tools for education, reconnection, and empowerment through various means and treatments.
I started the Kindness Challenge for a number of reasons, one being I believe the building of momentum of acts of kindness compounding on each other can be phenomenal in nature and have a shifting effect on humanity as a whole, and, two, I believe that it is imperative to regain awareness of our connection to ALL things in a world where we have all but forgotten even our connection with each other. By donating just ONE DOLLAR to the Challenge fund you can help make a reality, my dream of a center conducive to healing and reconnection to ALL that is.
I had the opportunity earlier this year along with some amazing friends and coworkers to host a pampering event where we were able to spend the day with 15 beautiful cancer "warriors". They were treated to facials, hand and foot massages, hair styling/cuts, makeovers, and other services, including education on ways reduce the toxic burden to their bodies. We introduced them to vibrational healing with quartz singing bowls, crystal and infrared healing with Bio-mat healing mats, the benefits of essential oils, and pure and safe products they could easily incorporate into their lives eliminating the toxic ones. It was a life-changing experience for all of us who worked with these ladies and more motivation for me to desire to move forward with this journey. The feedback we received was well beyond anything we could have imagined. After the event, I found myself asking: "Look what we could do in 4 hours - what would it be like to be able to spend 4 days with these ladies reconnecting with nature, helping them to improve their health and, most importantly, their well-being?" It is my deep desire to continue down this road, doing work with various groups all of walks of life who can benefit from such an optimal healing environment.
This property is unique in many ways and truly one of a kind offering something for everyone. Whether you want to come and stay to get your "ZEN" on, spend a few days with the family, attend a yoga retreat, various workshops, or spend time connecting with nature and archeological areas, it truly has something for everyone. There is something for the extreme sports enthusiast to the nature enthusiast, from the archeological enthusiast to hiker, camper, mountain biker, boy and girl scout group, couples getaway, wedding, ... you name it! There are various workshops and groups that already visit regularly, and we will continue to expand on that as well. The property has acreage, which is diverse and includes various rental units, a lodge, camping facilities, and RV hookups. It is accessible year round and easy to get to from anywhere in the US. In addition, there are aspects of the property with great historical value that we wish to continue to protect.
The Kindness Challenge is simply this: Perform a random act of kindness of any kind large or small. It does not have to cost money or be of monumental proportions, just do something good for another. We feel for the integrity of the challenge it's best to simply acknowledge you have completed the challenge by doing the following:

The purpose of this challenge is to make a conscious effort to raise the awareness that we are all connected. It is our mission in the purchasing of the retreat to provide an environment conducive to reconnecting, tranquility and optimal healing whether through a vacation stay, workshop event, or through various healing modalities offered. The retreat space would also allow us the ability to reach out to all groups of people who could benefit from this healing space by means of providing service oriented events.
In order to achieve our goal of ONE MILLION acts of kindness it is crucial that you SHARE this site and challenge others as often as possible. Together, we can help make the world a better place --- one person at a time.
The meaning of the word "Namaste" is simply "That which is Divine in me honors that which is Divine in you". It is a symbol of "oneness" that we all share, our connectedness as a global whole. This word I use as a blessing at the end of each session with my clients as we are all connected by energy that is constantly exchanging between ourselves and ALL that is. I believe that this connection is a vital part of the "DNA" of our co-creative spirit. What we do as one affects the Whole.
